Stego is the result of an experimental fabrication research on concrete casting using foldable sheets and hardware assembly. The project was initiated by a primary study on folding for the purpose of stiffening the envelopes that continued to use thin PETG plastic which benefits from concave curves to resist the hydrostatic pressure during casting process. The curvature was also used in the global geometry for maximum resistance and thus the possibility of perforations. Lastly the modules are assembled with threaded rods and nuts with padding in between.
