Seoul, South Korea

Looking at the dynamics of the city of Seoul, in the adjacency of the image of future urban developments for a business district Living Infrastructure is a housing project that is to function as an organ to the underlying fabric. Conceived as a part of a vision plan for a multi- use complex, this building connects to adjacant buildings(by means of the long span connection on 8th floor) and the proposed “Ground Scraper”, a large urban infrastructure along the high speed train and the metro line. Thus, both the stretched body of this structure and the undulated ground underneath are designed to contribute to the large scale surrounding through radical exposure of their formal and performative forces and dynamics.
